More than 245 community and voluntary groups in Galway City are currently members of the Community Forum. The Community Forum represents groups from all walks of life and with many different interests. This provides us with a wealth of knowledge, as well as a strong voice in relation to influencing local policy issues and shaping the future of Galway City.

The Community Forum’s Strategy Plan is a key document in this work. It provides us with an agenda and work programme, outlining a number of priority issues and actions to be addressed and promoted. The current Strategy Plan runs from 2009-2011 and is the third Plan to be adopted by the Forum.
